Successful project management is all about managing risk. Avantia understands, through many years of building IT systems, how to identify risk areas and develop solid strategies to eliminate those risks. We will:
- Hold daily project team status meetings; these are conducted as “stand-up” meetings to ensure communication while protecting the valuable resource of time
- Track actual hours against plan (Microsoft Project)
- Have bi-weekly status meetings with client via conference call; written status report which details accomplishments, issues / resolution, and progress against plan
- Attend planned meetings with external steering committee
- Conduct a formal issue tracking process
- Conduct a formal change control process
- Develop a collaboration website to provide client access to work-in-progress, interim system deliverables, discussion documents and all project artifacts
Finally, successful management is about accountability. At Avantia, we hold ourselves accountable for the extreme satisfaction of each and every client. Our reputation is on the line, and we take that seriously. Each member of the project team has a personal stake in the project’s success. And, the management team, including the president of the company, shares accountability and ownership for each and every project.
